7/27/2010 - Can you identify this man?

 

This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in identifying a suspect in a residential burglary in Beaumont.

On July 2nd, 2010 a house was burglarized in the 600 block of Wade Street in which a flat screen TV was stolen.  Witnesses reported seeing a green Ford Taurus flee the scene.  A short time later an officer tried to stop this vehicle in the 1100 block of South 11th Street.  The black male driver fled into a convenience store and got away from officers.  Stolen property from the burglary was found inside the vehicle.  In store video captured the suspect described as a black male, with shoulder length dreadlocks, and wearing all black.  This same vehicle is suspected of being involved in several other residential burglaries in Beaumont.

7/20/2010 - Man Steals Latop from Local Computer Store
This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft of a laptop computer from Computer Dimensions on Dowlen Road.

On March 9th, 2010 an elderly white male with grey hair who dressed nice came into Computer Dimensions located at 3050 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, Texas. He purchased a MacBook Pro laptop computer valued at $1,840 and paid for it with a check. The business later learned the check was a forgery and the suspect used a fake, altered or stolen Texas driver`s license to pass this check.

7/6/2010 - Burglar Caught on Tape

This week Beaumont crime stoppers needs your help solving a Burglary that occurred on Friday, July 2, 2010 at around 2:00 PM.

Witnesses observed two black males loading a big screen television into the back seat of a green Ford Taurus.  The television had been stolen from a house in the 600 block of Wade Street.

Officers later observed the green Ford Taurus pull into the convenience store located at 1165 S. 11th Street.  The driver of the car was caught on video tape inside the store.  The driver exited the store and ran on foot eluding officers.  As seen in the photograph, the suspect is a black male, 6’, 180 pounds, with thick shoulder length dread locks.  He was wearing a black t-shirt and burgundy shorts.

6/29/2010 - Robbery of C&S Arcade

This week Beaumont crime stoppers needs your help solving an Aggravated Robbery that occurred on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at around 5:30 PM.

A lone gunman entered the C&S Arcade located at 4380 S 4th Street and immediately struck one of the employees in the head with his gun knocking him to the ground.  He then put the gun to the employee’s head and made him remove the money from the machines.  The suspect made both employees remove their pants. 
He then fled the store with the money, the employees’ pants, and their wallets.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9”, 190 pounds, with dread locks in his hair.  He was wearing a dark gray shirt and dark jeans.  He was also carrying a back pack which contained the stolen money.

6/22/2010 - Man in Hospital Scrubs Steals 2 Rolex Watches
On Monday June 7, 2010 at around 3:31 PM a black male wearing a dark colored baseball cap, green hospital scrubs, and dark tennis shoes entered Alter`s Gem Jewelry located at 3155 Dowlen Road.  He asked to see a certain Rolex watch. The suspect tried on one watch and then another. When the clerk placed the first watch down on the counter and starting helping him with the other watch he grabbed both watches and ran out of the store. He was last seen running through the HEB parking lot to a white four door vehicle. The watches were valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.

6/14/2010 - Murder of Darrell LaFleur

This week Beaumont Crime Stoppers needs your help solving the murder of Darrell LaFleur, a 50 year old black male, in the south end of Beaumont.  Mr. LaFleur’s body was found in the 1900 block of Verone Street in Beaumont on June 2, 2010.  His body was just off the roadway hidden by tall grass.  He had been there for several days.

Beaumont Police are looking for any information concerning Mr. LaFleur and his whereabouts the night of Saturday, May 29 from 9:00 PM through Sunday, May 30.  If you saw or had any contact with Mr. LaFleur during this time or if you have any information concerning who may have killed Mr. LaFleur or other information you feel is important to the investigation, call Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS.  All tips are anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.

Jermaine Ledet Lewis, a 29 year old male, is wanted for Aggravated Robbery;

Terrance OJ Ledet, a 26 year old male, is wanted for Aggravated Robbery;

Shaquille Kendrick Simien, a 17 year old male, is wanted for Aggravated Robbery;

And

Victoria Laura Smith, a 26 year old female, is wanted for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Retaliation, and Theft.

6/4/2010 - Deceased Person Identified - Investigators are Treating as Homicide

A missing person, Darrell LaFleur, was reported by family members Tuesday, June 2, 2010.  On June 3, 2010, Detectives and Officers were following up on the missing person and located the body of a deceased black male just off the roadway in the 1900 block of Hemlock Street.  The body was transported  to the Jefferson County Morgue where an autopsy was performed.

The deceased person was identified as  Darrell LaFleur, black male, 50 years old.  Detectives are treating the case as a homicide.  Investigators are asking for anyone with information about this crime to contact the Beaumont Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 409-880-3830 or Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.  The investigation is ongoing.

6/1/2010 - 100+ Batteries Stolen

This week Beaumont crime stoppers needs your help with an unsolved auto theft and auto burglaries that occurred over Easter weekend at Interstate Batteries located at 6008 College Street in Beaumont.

On April 3rd, 2010 at around 4:30 am, an officer on patrol discovered the theft. Suspects gained entry into the secured yard by cutting a hole in the fence. Once inside, the suspects removed batteries from multiple work trucks and loaded them onto another work truck, a white 1999 GMC 3500 flatbed truck bearing Texas license plate 99FZR6. The suspects stole the truck and drove it through the locked gate and left the area on College Street.

The suspects stole approximately 100 batteries and the work truck has not been recovered.

5/25/2010 - Can you identify these suspects using a credit card stolen in a burglary?

      This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in identifying 2 suspects caught on video at a local retailer using a credit card stolen during a burglary.

     On April 7th, 2010 a citizen reported the burglary of a house in the 7100 block of Palmetto Drive.  The house belonged to a relative who recently passed away.  The actors broke into the house and stole several items including a credit card, a safe and a vehicle from the garage.  The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned in the parking lot of Lowe`s Home Improvement Store located at 4120 Dowlen Road.  Detectives learned the credit card was used at Lowe`s shortly after the burglary to buy a hammer to possibly open the safe.  Video cameras show 2 black males, one wearing  a black baseball cap, a white T-shirt, and black shorts, the other is wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt, and blue jeans.
